HELP HELP HELP a couple of days ago I got a silkie chick. And she's just so fuzzy she went potty on herself. I couldn't get it off with a cloth so I gave get a little bath. She was fine until I used baby oil without using my normal dawn soap. So now her feathers look weird all clumped together I want to fix that by using my soap but I don't want to bathe her too much? She's 5 days old what can I do!

Go ahead and bathe her with dawn dishsoap to get the oil off. Use warm water, then blow dry her. The deal is to not let her get chilled. Try not to get the soap down to the skin if you can, just rub the feathers gently.

Thx for the quick reply! How can I be sure she won't get to cold?

Don't leave her out of the warm water or under the blow dryer too long. Go quickly from bath to dryer. Get her back under her heat source when shes completely dry.
