So this is my first time incubating eggs. I have 5 eggs. 2 copper Marans one Blue Araucana and 2 Olive Eggers. I candles them on day 5 and now again on day 10 and one of my OliveEggers(my most promising looking one!!) has a spot of blood on the narrow end of the egg. It looks like a burst blood vessel and not like the pictures I’ve seen of blood rings. I haven’t detected movement in any of them since they are so dark and hard to see inside the yolk but that blood spot was so visible it’s really startling. Has this happened to anyone? Is the embryo dead? Can a chick still hatch with a burst blood vessel?

Yea? That end of the egg felt too warm when I picked it up. Do you think that had something to do with it? How sad! Do you think I should take it out of the incubator right away?

Never saw an egg like that before it might be best to remove it cause it could explode and harm the other chicks in the eggs
