I'm sorry but, I don't understand what the whole problem is? You may have recourse in small claims court - you would have to prove that the seller stated(in writing) the dog was a German shepherd - and proof from experts that he is a mix instead. He looks very German Shepherd to me in the puppy picture, just not show or breeding quality.. Pet quality puppies can look quite different and still be purebred. Did you get AKC registration papers and pedigree to show he is(allegedly) a German Shepherd?

Did you see the parents before your bought him? The grown up picture, I admit ,does NOT look like a purebred German Shepherd- his ears never came up - which can happen- it affects his look but not his health.

If he a good housedog or pet otherwise? Do you have serious complaints about him other than not being a purebred? I'M guessing you bought him from a newspaper ad, craig's list or a pet shop - at a very inflated price.

Buys must beware- there is always someone who will take advantage whether you are buying a pup or a chicken etc.

Even as a puppy in the photo, he does not look like a GSD (i had two pedigree GSDs) - the muzzle is too wide and the colouring overall, whilst looking GSD is not what it should be . A bit of homework on the breed would have urged you to find proof of hip scores of the parents and their pedigree, since GSDs are renown for suffering from hip displaysia. Its a shame that people are not honest, of course but i hope that you love him all the same!

Agreed with both the above posts. What "help" exactly is it you are hoping to get in this post?
