HELP! broody died eggs are dying

Also just wanted to check in because I believe today is the expected hatch day. I hope you have some activity from your eggs soon!

I know. Well i thought i could here a peep. Like when a chick is about to emerge from its egg. Ive heard plenty of these noises before so i am pretty sure i did.

I heard it twice. Looked over the eggs, cant see any cracks yet or activity.

Ive been playing some sounds of chicks hatching on my phone. Maybe that might encourage them. Also tapping the eggs lighlty with a toothpick.

I heard the sound at 6pm so maybe the chick will be born soon..

Or maybe i was dreaming i could hear it. Ive been to check often and still no sound or movement.

Yay on the peep! That means it's pipped internally, the first step, and should hatch within 24 hours. It's alive :wee
Yes i know!! But how do i know if i actually heard it. I cant even tell which egg it is. Im just going to gently tap on the eggs now to see if i get a response. There are 12 eggs. Some might be alive or even 1 but which one!
So if i heard it peep around 6pm. Would it maybe hatch tomorrow roughly that time?

I have tapped the eggs lightly and can hear no sounds. There is no movement. But as chicks take time to hatch i will wait for tomorrow. Mostly all of my previous hatchlings ive heard peep at night then the next day hatch. In the ealry morning. I would wake up around 9amish and see a couple already hatched and fluffy.

Short of candling and looking for the beak sticking into the air cell, you'll have to be patient :). All in good time!

Picking up each egg to tap it will let you hear better where the peep is coming from.

Best of luck!

Thank you!
I do hope at least one survives after all the effort of her mum.

Im afraid to pick up the eggs as its bad to move them and especially if i may have heard one peep. I didnt candle them which was a mistake when i got them at 20/21 days.
But i would assume about 50% would hatch however thats gone down a lot since now.
