HELP!. BuGS IT iS! **New PIC on bottom of pg 1**

On my broody she has picked all the feathers off her tummy area it has to do with keeping the eggs at the right temp. I just checked all mine for mites/lice and did not find any.

Our kids in the Oregon area get a lot of lice. Luckily I've only had one kid get it once, but they bring home warning fliers from school all the time that someone in their class has lice. The new thinking around here is to forget all those poisons and thoroughly scrub your kids hair with pHisoderm liquid. It has something in it that completely dehydrates the lice and eggs. You scrub them up, wait a few minutes, then rinse them off and your done. I thought it sounded too good to be true, until I saw it work in action. Even our pediatrician recommended it.
It's a pretty gently solution and you wash it off. I wonder if it could be used on poulty lice? Anyone tried it?

I decided to go the Eprinex route. I wonder if it will de-worm them if it's only used topically? Not that mine have worms, but I thought they didn't have bugs either!

MLWARD, how did it go for yours? What dosage did you use? What did you use to clean the coop? This will be my project today. Glad to have a de-lousing buddy.

Update. I washed out the coop with licefree human lice spray which is all natural, then repeated with salt water hoping to dehydrate any buggies followed by a sprinkling of DE. All birds are treated with Eprinex and we'll see what happens....whew.
