Hi,
I raised my Khaki Campbell from the egg 9 years ago; she provided me a bounty of eggs for many years. She stopped laying eggs several years ago and shortly after that, she developed a tail curl feather. She maintains her hen quack. Has anyone else ever had this happen??? If so, how did you manage it? Why did she develop a tail curl feather?

My problem, seems she is now identified as a threat to my young Ancona drake who is coming of age. He is beating her up very badly. As an Ancona, he is much larger than her small duck frame. She even sustained injury enough to have a limp. It seemingly happened overnight. My 6 ducks normally have free ranging days and are secured in a pen at night. I had to put my drake in 24-hr lock down as I won't tolerate bullies in my animal groups. He is completely ignoring the other 4 hens.

I love my beautiful Lilac Ancona drake - he too was raised from the egg. He is also the only drake I have. However, I'm now at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting through this very troubling event?

Thank you for any help you can provide.
