Looking for some guidance on treating my birds for confirmed heavy gapeworm infestation. I have the Safeguard Canine 3 day packets, 22.2% strength. It is typically recommended to be mixed in with food, but I’d rather administer as an oral solution so I can make sure each bird is getting the needed amount.
Can someone help me do the math of how much powder to water ratio I should mix? I’ll be treating weight ranges from 3 month chicks to 8-10 lb roosters.

It would be easier to just get the 10% SafeGuard Horse Paste or the Liquid Goat Wormer. Give 0.25 ml (1/4 ml) of one of those per pound of weight once a day to each bird for 5 consecutive days. Giving in the feed is much less reliable for accuracy.

The feed stores near me didn’t have the other types in stock, I have some being shipped in but wanted to see if I can use the canine granules in the interim.
I don’t want to mix with feed; I’m trying to see if I can mix with water for an oral solution.
