Help candling?

Aw man. Mine are guinea eggs.

No development there I'm afraid. How long had you incubated them for?

I thought I saw a bullseye? They have only been in the incubator for two days. But she's been setting for about 2 weeks

I'm afraid I don't see one.

So this egg has been incubated for 2 days or 2 weeks?

2 days in an incubator. The hen has been sitting for about 2 weeks. She's free range. The babies would never make it. So I wanted to save a few and raise them.

So that would make 16 days they have been incubated (14 hen + 2 incubator)
I'm afraid after that amount of time therewas still only yolk nothing was going to develop in the egg.
Have you cracked a few test eggs open to check for fertility?

No I haven't. I'm guessing I should? She is laying on about 20. And I took 6.

I would test fertility on newly laid eggs not the ones she is on as embryos could be developing in some of the ones she is sitting on

How do we feel about this? This is an egg on day 3 in the incubator.
