Let's see, I, of course, am going to say POLISH first (because I HAVE to!) but they don't go broody although the fit otherwise. I do really like my Japanese too but I think they lay pretty well, they do go boody though, I have two setting on eggs right now. I also have some broody seramas (of course, "Let's all go broody when it starts to get cold!").
 
I say modern game bantams,

Those are beautiful, amazing looking little birds. They look like they belong in a Salvador Dali painting. Like a living ornament. I've never owned one, do they go broody?​

Yes and I have heard that they make good mothers. I love the Golden Duckwing MGB.
