Are you within city limits? I am reading your City Charter that speaks to ownership

I did find the ordinance what they want is that 5 acres is owned it is ordinance 130 but was set in 1988 are your neighbors complaining? if not you may be able to argue it

I'm in the same situation in Princeton, NJ. 1 acre and neighbors are ok, but when someone in an adjacent area filed a noise complaint they came to look. You need 5 acres to have even one chicken here. I filed for a variance. I have to send letters to everyone within 200 feet of the property line and put a legal notice in the newspaper. Best bet is a call to the zoning/planning department of your township. Our meeting with the board is on December 7.
