Help! Chick seems to be stuck in membrane?

Is it malpositioned?
It is hard to tell from the pictures. It doesn’t look shrink wrapped and the beak is out so it is breathing, if it was me, I would put it back into the incubator and let nature take its course. If you see anything that causes you concern, then you can think about assisting a bit more.

It is shrink wrapoed in the inner membrane! But how can I free it if there are veins going all over it?

The clicking noise is the noise it makes while absorbing yolk. Put your chin on your chest and breath, you'll make a weird noise as well. It's normal. As to what is this, looks like blood (too soon to hatch, veins not absorbed yet, and yolk, same). At most you can use a qtip to spread neosporin around outside of membrane to moisten it. Then return to hatchery and go fix yourself some coffee. Or tea. Or -whatever.

If it was me, I would try and keep the inner membrane moist, drops of warm water or coconut oil, then back into the incubator to finish absorbing the yolk etc. I think absorbing the yolk and the whole process really tires them out, please try not to panic. :love
