HELP chick with hard poop

It looked like he had hemorrhoids. Its vent was poking out, I put it by itself with suger in the water. Poor thing sounded so bad and finally died last night. So today 3 was like that. so I pinched its vent a little not hard at all and hard poop came out. I have them on chick starter what else do I need to do?

Sounds like pasty butt? Wash of the hard poop and they should be fine. Have to catch it quickly or it will kill them....

Its not pasty just hard? I did wash the ones that had it clumped up.

I just checked on them and another was like that also. Is there anything that I can give them that will loosen there bowel?

I had one like this too! It was nearly like popping a pimple...but not so much and much more gentle of course. I just posted about my bird being stopped up, I'm so sorry one died how scary. I have no idea though, these are my first chicks too! I read somewhere something about scrambled eggs or yolks? Still searching though.

I give my girls probios in their water. 1/4 tsp per 4 cups water. Probios helps their digestive system. My chicks poop perfect since giving them the supplement. I bought it through amazon and was in the mail the very next day!
