I foung two eggs in one of the nesting boxes that had no shell. Otherwise the eggs were intact! no broken yolk or messed up in any way. I also noticed a cream membrane in the mess when I cleaned it up! All three of my girls are 5 months old and two started laying about a week and a half ago. Can my third be laying eggs with no shell?

Be sure to have out a tray of oyster shell for them at all times. A shell less egg can be common in pullets starting to lay. Give them a little time to get the hang of it.

I have two laadies that just started laying and they've layed smalls, double yolkers, and a soft shelled like yours. After the soft shelled eggs, they went back to smalls. I added calcium, and all is well. Now if I could just get the other 14 to lay, that would be great.
