Help... chicken fell in lamp feeder/ broken leg!!!

There are many threads about Bumblefoot and all sorts of other problem (and solutions) in the BYC archives.

A nice warm soak salt water will ofter do wonders for a limping chicken and once you get them into a basin they will usually stand there as long as you want them too if you cup them gently. over their wings. I soak both feet so I can compare. Once the feet are soaked, clean and dry them you can look at it to see if she has something going on with her feet. BTW, I usually take the opportunity to oil the feet and comb. I use vit E but really any edible oil will do.
I totally didn't think of that, but it's a very good idea! :)

I have a chicken who has mites or lice and i did'nt notice till she pulled a muscle in her leg. She is walking better, but she has lost weight
cause of the mites/lice. I am not sure which she has. Does anyone know anything about Vi-tel mineral supplement?

I think she must have pulled a muscle. She just needed some time to heal and not be on her leg. I had her in a crate for two days... came home from work the second afternoon and she was standing on it... so I let her out. She has been fine since.
