Help! chicken has foul liquid coming out of her crop ( not beak)

Hello there, we have only recently replaced our chickens after a Fox attack last November and one of them has had an impacted crop which we did everything possible to cure but she now has sour crop. Yesterday I emptied her crop of foul smelling liquid ad she picked up a little, drank loads of water and ate some yogurt and mashed pellets. Today her crop was really large looking so I squeezed it very gently to try and see how big it actually was and then all this liquid started leaking from the crop. At first I thought it had come from her beak and run down on to my hand but her beak was dry and the liquid continued dripping out of her crop. She is so unwell and we are all prepared for the worst, but if any one has any ideas to help I would be very grateful. "Chicken" is only about 30 weeks max :-(

Several people on forum have used monistat to cure sour crop,all have been successful. Monistat comes with 3 tablets,cut each into 3(you end up with 9)give 1 tablet twice a day. Sour crop is sometimes a result of impacted crop. Hope this helps.

You get it in the Feminine Hygiene section of the grocery or drug store. It's medicine for a yeast infection.
