I went out to let the girls out and scrap the poop like I do everyday. While I was scraping I noticed that a few of them had a drop of blood or so. I've also noticed that in one of my RSL was not staying with the flock when I was around, once I would leave, shes back with them. I think it may be her. Shes only 16 weeks old. What could this be? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Ok thanks, he would I do that? I'm new to all this stuff.

Thanks for posting the photo. It's a bit grainy, but based on what I see, it's nothing I would personally be concerned over. The spots are very minor. Cocci is much more pronounced (bright red chunky streaks), and it looks like this:

As far as behavior goes, the time to get concerned is when you see a bird with its tail down, feathers ruffled, lying down, or isolated from the flock. It will be pretty obvious that it's not feeling well. As you continue cleaning each day, continue to monitor for the blood spots. Make note of where the bloody poo is dropping from. Chickens tend to roost in the same location each night so that would be a good way to identify who might be sick. If it persists, you may be on to something, but to me, that looks like normal poo.

Okay thank you so much! She has been perking up. I think it was because we had rain for the past three (3) days and she was stressed. Now that the Sun came out she's been much better. Thank you so much. It really does mean a lot.
