Guys I really need help, I have had 4 hens that I brought from a local farmer and they were pretty beat up from the rooster. I have been giving them extra protein treats every now and then and changed their food to 22% feed. But their still killing each other! They have been picking on my other hens I’ve had since they were babies and taking their feather off as well as my rooster. I woke up just to see one of them having blood gushing out of their tail. I don’t know what to do anymore I’m really concerned about it. I have them all in a coop together because my flock is getting their feather taken off. But the weird thing is one of the hens I brought with them doesn’t do that she was the worst beat up one she had no feather at all but doesn’t attack or eat feathers like they do. But they are all very aggressive towards each other and my other chickens. Plz leave suggestions.

How big is your run? This is usually caused because of lack of space. The minimum rule of thumb is about 2 to 3 square feet per chicken inside the chicken coop, and 8 to 10 square feet per chicken in an outside run. If you don't have that space, that is likely the issue. For now, add opticals to the run so they have the chance to get away and hide. You said they eat the feathers? What do you feed other then a normal food? Didn't feed them anythgin other then there food for a while. It is also possible that the treats you are feeding them and anything else is diluting the protein in the feed and they are going for feathers to get extra.

They run around in my backyard which is about 400sq. I have been mixing there feed with meat bird food for a little but if you have any recommendations on better feed if really appreciate it.

Don't mix it. Jus give them the 22% protein meat bird feed. Mixing it won't help. What was the protein % of the original feed? What do you feed other the then there commercial food.

Sorry it’s a little messy rn I’m cleaning up.
