Help! Chicks arrived today and one is sick!

One of the babies is not doing well. She keeps scratching at herself and lying down. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Could be stress from shipping. Try adding some electrolytes to the water, maybe boil up an egg and mash it up for her and you could give her some PolyViSol without iron.

If you don't have electrolytes readily available - some sugar in the water might help. Sorry to hear that the chick is not doing well. Good luck.

They actually have two waters.. one with electrolytes and another with sugar water. Guess I'll try the boiled egg. Thanks!!
