help!!! chicks drpooing like flies!!!!!

Duramycin is an antibiotic powder and can be purchased at feed stores and tractor supply. I will try and find my thread where I asked for the proper dosage and post it. I thought I had saved them all then my little golden laced baby went downhill and died in just a couple hours...after he had eaten and drank and was showing alot of promise. Their little lives are so fragile

i forgot to note that the chick im watching atm, seems to be trying to walk but is too weak. i also noticed its crop is enlarged, but very squishy like its full of liquid.

I had a few Problems of my own with chicks, I add electrolytes and vitamins and then about 1/2 tsp of sugar per quart of water. (gives them just a bit of energy.) with them dropping so quickly after delivery I am not too sure but that should help. if you have a dropper then try squeezing some jut in their beak. do not try and open their beak just squeeze some in at the side to get something in them. and if the crop feels squishy then it is probably got water in it till it goes thru the rest of the tract (mine have done that just give it some time 20 min or so Keep them not too cool no lower than 90, over 100 and they die on me. do you have some starter mash? you can mix some with the electrolyte/sugar water and put it on its beak. let us know how it goes.

We've seen the gapeworm symptoms before in chicks. You said they are in a kiddy pool. Is that all? Or do you have shavings in with them? In the past when my sister had the neck streaching gasping it was because of them eating the shavings. Just an idea.
