Hi Guys,
I recently got 4 quail and there's two dark brown and two that are much lighter. I'm new to quail, so still figuring most things out, but i believe the lighter coloured ones would be considered Italian, but the darker ones i'm less sure about. My best guess is Tibetan or Rosetta, but let me know what you think.
The other question is about the two lighter coloured. One is noticeably bigger than the other and seems to have more red on the front and developing white around the head. I'm relatively sure he is a male, and there's a few pictures of the smaller one that is still quite spotty and without the red that i'm guessing is female.
The two darker ones don't I don't think i'll be able to tell the sex from the feathers alone and will have to wait a bit and see if they crow/lay eggs and check their vents. They're all about 4 and a half weeks old and i'm curious to see what kind of a mix i end up with.
