We are having a really bad storm EVERYTHING is flooding! I went to check on the chicks and their coop in flooded and one chick died 2 aren't doing well! Are the drowning , gotten to cold or both? I move the chicks out into the brooder to krrp them warm and the wurst looking ones in the house! Please help!

Oh No! I'm so sorry:hugs

First of all, are YOU safe?

How old are you little ones?

If they got wet, then try to get them dry and warm them up. For the weakest ones, get them warm and offer some poultry vitamins if you have them. If not, mix up a little sugar water and give it to them.

Hopefully they just got chilled and will rally when they get warm.

It's very possible that the ones you lost could have drowned or succumbed to cold. If you have room to bring the others in, that may be best.

They are about 8 weeks
The others are lookin better but one

Do you know what he ate - just chick starter?
Try to see if he will drink - don't force liquids, but make them available.
You may also want to offer a source of grit (crushed granite) free choice.

I wouldn't worry about food at the moment, looks like he is full. Massage the crop in a downward motion, hopefully that will get it moving.

I agree - check the crop and ensure they're pooping. If the coop is small maybe move it somewhere more elevated for dig a sort of canal to channel water downhill instead. Poor babies! I hope they get better :(
