Help! Coyote attacked my 4 month old OE Cockerel!

Update! So far he is doing well. We did end up having to stitch him, and we have since named him Stitch. A night or two after I posted this I was watching him eat and it went well for a minute or two, then his neck opened up and food poured out. Luckily my boyfriends marine experience helped greatly and he was able to mend our roos neck. It has been progressively getting better. His poops are becoming normal, no sign of infection and he is acting like nothing happened. We clean it daily and apply Corigem spray to his neck to help continue healing. Will post any progress, but it's looking up!

I Am sorry about the Ones you Lost and wish you the Best of Luck with Your OE Roo .. I hope you get good advice and that he makes it ! ~ Corinne

Wow, that is great that he is doing so well. You sure didn't have much choice if food was coming out of him - had to sew him up. Chickens can heal amazingly well, and it sounds like Stitch plans to be all better.
