Hi there - I need some advice

My 12 week barred rock chick has had a swollen crop for around 4 days now.

I have seen heaps of advice on here so here is what I have tried.

I have isolated her from the others and from free access to food

I have given her small amounts of natural yogurt; some bread soaked in olive oil and this afternoon some lightly scrambled egg mixed with yogurt.

I tried to get her to vomit this afternoon too but nothing came up.

I have massaged regularly and today I notice that the swelling is not so hard but lower and larger - like a balloon hanging down a little.

She is not passing much but when it does come out it is just fluid - probably because she hasn't eaten much solid in the last few days anyway.

I feel almost like the blockage has moved too far down to easily vomit up now but it doesn't seem to be going through.

She is happy enough although she doesn't like being separated!

The other chooks are fine at the moment but I'm worried she may worsen and they will pick on her.

Any suggestions??

Is she on the dirt or caged? I have had that with a few chicks out of a few 1000 in that age range---even earlier but was not as noticeable. I just hold their feed and water for most of the day(she will be fine) and see if it goes down. Which it usually does. They usually grow out of it. I never massage or try to force up stuff---but she is yours.
