Well, I went against everything I have read here and helped the last chick (had been 1/2 unzipped for almost 2 days) out of his shell on day 24. He has dried off ok but will not uncurl his toes and walk on his feet. Its like he is trying to walk on his knuckles and he is very woobly and cant stand up correctly. This is about 24 hours after I helped him out. I know I shouldnt have intervened, but I couldn't stand the thought of just letting him die, trapped in his shell. Can anyone offer any advise? PS - to all you Mothers out there....HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

This is what I did....taped a small piece of thin cardboard to his foot and then trimmed it down to size. Leave it on for a day...and see how it works. This little guy had it off in 2 hours but the foot stayed flat and by the next day he was wobbly but started walking around. He is fine now.
