The wiggling was it moving into position to pip, this is a crucial time for the chick, it must rest, it must absorb its yolk, it must prepare itself for the work ahead, every time you open that incubator and handle the egg you decrease its chances of survival. I speak from experience, the first hatch I did I was completely hands off, had a great hatch, the second time I worried and fretted and picked them up and put them down...I had ONE hatch... Its hard, we think as humans they need our help, but most of the time they do not, they need to be allowed to do what nature has done for eons. Please, take the advice of those here who are trying to help you, Like the other person said, if its dead there is nothing you can do, but you still have other eggs to consider and each time you open that incubator and mess with that egg you decrease the others chance to hatch.
