Help! Day 21 no internal pip!

Ok thanks! I will keep you posted, if this hatch doesn't turn out great I will try to hatch more ;)

Great! Don't give up. I botched my very first hatch. Never checked my thermometer to find after it was all said and done, it was 6 degrees off (registering higher) I ran with the recommended higher humidity. Out of 17 viable chicks going into lockdown I had one very late hatcher that survived. Eventually I regrouped, armed myself with reliable thermometers, researched humidity inside and out, changed my game plan and have had successful hatches for the last 2 1/2 years. It's definitely a learning process.

I water candled them today and all of them were viable I taped one and if chirped! Does that mean it will hatch today or tomorrow
:D

Thanks so much you guys your info was really helpful! I lied a little bit before----- This is my 2ND HATCH! My first hatch I was just fooling around, I tested my thermometer then. When none of the eggs hatched I decided to get a bit more serious. That is why this hatch is important to me.

I forgot to say that the air cells inside the eggs are really big

If you water candle, always candle by light first to make sure there is no internal pips or cracks that can be unseen w/out light because water can get in and a viable chick can aspirate. Cheeping is a good sign of internal pip. It can take 24 hours from internal to external pip and another 24 to pip to hatch. So I'd say within the next 24-48 hours.

At hatch the air cell draws down a lot. Sometimes it scares me with just how much. That's a good sign they've lost a good amount of moisture.

Good luck!

An egg piped! I'm so exited! any advice? It piped over night. I am also wondering what breed it could be, the egg was labeled as free ranged, the egg is small and light brown and the beak is blackish gray with a white dot on it's beak

I looked again and it put its beak inside of the shell, does that mean anything, it is also chirping and wiggling a lot.
