Help! Day 21 no internal pip!

it hatched thirty minutes ago when should it be dried off
Leave it for a few hours :-) Go to work, school, etc, and when you get home, take it (and others, hopefully) out. It will be fine.

Make sure that your brooder is ready to go.

Yesterday I had chicks hatching. I took 1 out at 5am, then went to work. Took 9 more out at 10pm, then went to bed. Took 5 more out this morning at 5am. Saw at least 2 more pipped. I'll check them this evening. It's exciting, but it's a good chance to learn patience too :-)

yay! I think you can just leave it to dry in the incubator...it will help encourage the others to hatch by moving around in there too.

the chick moved all of the eggs except one into a corner and is now sitting on them

hatching.
so yesterday was day 21but since today is really day 21 should today be the day should see the egg rolling or hearing chirping in just overly anxious I know not to open the bator just staring at it mostly

An egg piped! I'm so exited! any advice? It piped over night. I am also wondering what breed it could be, the egg was labeled as free ranged, the egg is small and light brown and the beak is blackish gray with a white dot on it's beak

It sounds like a silkie. Look at it's legs and see if they are feathered and count toes and see if there are 5.

Being the only hatcher, I'd leave it in the incubator to fluff up and see if it can motivate the others. Congrats on the new baby.

thanks so much, it is kind of silvery now and has our toes on each foot, no feathers on its feet though

if your eggs haven't pipped yet, tap them and listen for chirps, if you hold them in your hand and feel moving put them in the incubator---- for all of the ones that had no activity water candle them, just make sure there are ABSOLUTELY NO PIPS even internal ones. here is a good video that i used to water candle my eggs----https://youtu.be/oSiv2vm3Dgo
