Help! day 21 no pipping!

just a question, Lucky was the only one that hatched and I think she needs a friend,so since she needs to stay in the brooder box for 6 weeks; If I incubated more eggs right a way could I put the new chicks in the brooder box with Lucky? So by then Lucky will be 3 weeks old.:) ;)

It is a big age difference, you may have issues with her picking at the little ones and have to separate them in the brooder to get used to each other. On the other hand it's possible things could go smoothly, but I wouldn't count on it.

Ok thank you :)

I cracked open the rest of the eggs today, and this was the only other fertile one besides lucky.
And idea what day and stage it was in and how it died?

Thank you. Any idea as to how it died, or what I could do in the future to prevent it?

It's hard to tell when it's a single or just a couple chicks, unless there is deformities or abnormalities. We can't always provide the best conditions for every single egg in the bator because of specific variables to each independent egg. One egg may be more porous, not as thick shelled and loose too much moisture or thicker shelled and not loose enough. The best we can do is change conditions based on the majority.
