Morning all,

its day 22 and there is still no sign of chickens, or rocking, or pipping, or cheaping...

i need help and advice, is everthing ok/???

please reply.

Did you candle the eggs along the way to make sure they're developing?

If your temps were off a bit, they can take an extra day or two. We've had some batches we never did hear peeping or see rocking, others we did. Have you tried whistling near the incubator and then listening for answers? Ours did tons of that in the couple of days before they'd hatch, if we did kind of "peep" whistles like the sound of a chick's peep, they'd answer back.

Good luck, hope your chickies put in an appearance soon. We've got four guinea eggs under a broody silkie hen, due to hatch the end of the week. I can hardly wait!

Generally the advice would be do nothing, just wait and see.

Are the eggs under a broody or in an incubator?
If in an incubator, what temperature and humidities have you been using?
Are the eggs large fowl or bantam?

All the above conditions can affect the time to hatching,

Good Luck,
Sandie
