Help! day 23 and a chirping egg PICS ADDED!

Oh thank you!! It pooped something the size of a large pea. I didn't know it could have that much in it's little body. Its on it's side, squirming around. Hopefully it will rest and then try to stand. Definitely breathing!

Keep us posted... it may stay on its side for a little bit... it had a hard hatch
Post another picture when the little thing dries out... silkies are the best (okay... tie with Polish)

I will. It's still on it's side. It isn't drying out though. The other one did this too. I thought it was due to the humidity but when I finally opened the incubator the feathers were matted to it. This little one feels the same. I had to essentailly sponge bath the other chick- although it stood and moved around on its own after hatching. I know this one had a hard hatch so I want to let it rest, but it seems to be trying. I wonder if it's feathers are too stiff for it to move? This one's yolk was absorbed and the cord was broken already- or broke during the hatch, no sure, but it's doesn't seem as gooey as the first one did. Should I wait or try to wipe this one down a little? Strong little thing. I hope it makes it!

I wiped it down with a warm wet towel. Still moving around but not getting up or chirping or opening eyes. Hopefully it's just resting. What a stressfull few days. Happily, the firs one to hatch is now running and chasing out hands around the brooder box. Unbelievably cute. I just wish he/ she had a friend!

Still lying there and trying to get up to no avail. Any ideas as to what's going on with it? It' been out of the egg for a couple hours now.
