This is the first year that our momma Goose has fertile eggs. We are now day 31 and still no goslings hatched. On day 29 I saw a little one moving in the egg while candling and it looked like it internal pipped. But still nothing to see. On day 26 we found a dead gosling in the nest and took it away. Momma left her nest 1 time in now 8 days. I'm getting worried.. Can someone give me more information? Thank you.

Someone??? Please???

Mmmm I think I'd wait to the 35th day mark, it's been awhile since i've hatched geese and my memory tends to fail me. Have you candled them again recently?

Just on day 29. She just won't leave her nest and is getting feisty. I'm gonna try to candle them today again.

Well, if you can't candle them, i'd wait another week perhaps and see if anything happens. After that, I'd probably candle the eggs and see if there's any movement, if not you may have to toss'em. Is this her first year setting on eggs? I know that sometimes when a hen broods for the first time the hatch may fail. But it's not always true.

Okay, I will wait for another week. She has laid eggs for 3 years now and always bred them, but this is the first year that the eggs are fertile. Other years we have 30 eggs from her. This year it were only 9.
