Help! Day 6 of Duck incubation!

Hey Everyone! I bought a batch of Call Duck eggs from Ebay. Huge mistake . I was sent 15, only 7 even began to incubate. the others looked as if they might be infertile. This is my second hatch for call ducks, I had a 60% hatch rate my last go round and I am panicking because out of my 7 that began to form only 3 seem to be alive 6 days in.

My question is when candling, I see a distinct embryo with movement in 3 of them, the other 3 have the spider web veining but I can't seem to locate the embryo. What does this mean?? Am i just candling too soon? I don't know what to do! I don't feel like it's incubation error, my humidity and temp have been consistent and I have turned all eggs at least 3 time per day.

How can you tell only 7 out of 15 were fertile before you placed them in the bator?
You need to be patient.only remove bad smelling eggs.

I assumed they weren't because when candled on day 4, 7 showed progress of forming while the others were just a yoke and nothing else. One of those also had a very early blood ring.

My duck eggs are at day 6 and would look like this if there’s veining then from my experience they should be fertile and ok... some might just be late wait till at least day 7-10 to be sure

and I have that too healthy veins indicate a living embryo mabye it’s floating in the amniotic sac?

thanks! 2 of mine look like those, and pretty sure I can see a faint heartbeat. the other 4 look like as if they may be behind like you suggest. I hope thats the case! I'll be upset if only 1 or 2 hatch.!

hmmm....never thought of that. Wouldn't there be a blood ring if the embryo was dead?

Yes hope that’s the case! They like to swim around a lot at this point

If it was dead then there would be no veins visible usually...keep incubating and see if it smells foul then take them out best of luck !

Veins deteriorate rapidly, so if they were dead you probably wouldn’t see any. Odds are that they are alive
