well if you just get one thats not a fail. it might be THE one that makes your flock complete. you only fail when you quit trying

UPDATE: So on day 25 my neighbor, the one I borrowed the bator from, came over to candle the eggs one last time and she confirmed they were all gone, as far as she could tell. So, we began to open them up. The green ones never developed along with 2 others I could barely see in. The rest seemed to be in varying stages of development...until the last 2 we opened. They were practically fully developed and alive. I, of course, am heartbroken and felt awful that I just killed them. I gave her her incubator back and will need to take some time before trying it again.

It was easier seeing inside them when they were about day 9. The 2 we opened that were actually still alive looked like big blood splotches in them when we candelled. In no way did I think they were fully developed and still alive on day 25.

All I can say is that it was a big learning process and I've learned a lot from my mistakes. Hopefully next time will be a better experience and turn out.

Thanks for all the help, it's greatly appreciated!

sorry to hear it. sounds like temp might have been a little low mabey. thermometers are not always right .my last one died today also.

they had e coli from dirty guinea eggs in with them. they were pretty gross. i tried tylan injections in the embryos but i waited too long to start

Another update: I guess my SLW Hen knew I didn't know what I was doing, so she took matters in her own hands. This is now day 7ish that she decided to go broody and lay on her eggs. I marked them and take the additional ones layed everyday. She's sitting on 10 eggs.

Hopefully, she hatches them all and all goes well.
