I have seven that have hatched, including that one!Its kind of hard to get a picture. I'm waiting on one more, but I'm getting a bit worried because it's day 21 and it hasn't pipped yet. :/

I wait 2-3 days after the first one hatched to call it done.I'm waiting on one more, but I'm getting a bit worried because it's day 21 and it hasn't pipped yet.![]()
That's wonderful news! You must be happy you didn't throw it out!

Quote: Thanks. It's day 22 and still no pip. My first one hatched day 20. Everyone has hatched except for that one. I want to assist it, but then I don't because of all the procedures. Should I wait one more day till I do anything, or should I candle to see if it has even made an internal pip?
I've literally never have had this problem before or have had a chick die, this will be my first time dealing with this kind of problem. Not that I haven't done my research, but I'm a little nervous.
I would not do an assist in this instance.
My theory is to do only minimal assistance and rarely.
Many times it doesn't work out and you end up culling a deformed/unheslthy chick after it suffers.
Good strong healthy chicks get out on their own.
What I would do is wait one more day then shut 'er down and let it cool off.
I would do an egg-topsy to see what is in the remaining egg(s), might offer clues as to what happened, out of curiosity and possible lessons.
100% hatches are fairly rare IMO.
That is just what I would do....you may make a different decision.
