Potato's health was on the mend after attempted removal of abscess from opposum bite. Sudden decline leading to malnourished, off balance, wry neck like symptoms.any help really appreciated.

I'm not sure what you have tried. So I'll start with the basics of B complex and vitamin E. These may help with balance and nerve healing. If the bite was on the neck there could be muscle damage causing the balance and neck issues.

Maybe more detail about the injury would be helpful.

Does the chicken not want to eat or is it having difficulty eating due to the injury?

Have you tried tube/crop feeding?
