HELP! Doe won't let newborn kids nurse!

How many does the other doe have? Would penning the kids with her and supplementing work?

She has one that will be a week old on Wednesday. She is an excellent mother that does not need any kind of intervention with her kid.

If things do not go well with the real mama, I *may* try to see if the good mama will accept her.

we have a milking stantion that locks the doe in, and we have had to hold the mother to let the kids nurse. they eventually do. they need that first milk though!

I would pen them together for a while and just watch.
There are goats that just won't milk the little ones unless stancioned. But she is a first time freshner so it is all new to her.
Give her time and in the meantime milk her and bottle feed the kids so they get colostrum. The best thing you can give them comes from momma. So if nursing doesn't work out feed them mom's milk.
Good Luck!

We can never have a emergency kit that is ever prepared for the next crisis. So, hind sight is 20/20 and let it be. Atleast you had enough milk from Momma or another doe to keep them going.
So, good for you that your able to get to things as quickly as you can.

The only choice I see is to put those sweet things in a big box and bring them to me. I have a ton of baby diapers (grand daughter's) and my bedroom has tile floors I will make them a pallet on my floor and bottle feed them lol
Ok didnt think that would work lol Good luck with your babies

She's not a milk goat - she's a Boer (meat) goat. She's not exactly built for heavy milk production.

She is doing a little better tonight. She ranging from allowing them to nurse to butting them away. They are getting colostrum, so I think they will fine. They are not weak and have a strong and persistant urge to suckle. Maybe in a few days she'll get the hang of things and I let them out.

If she's letting them nurse some now, I'd leave them penned together and see what happens, just check them often and make sure their tummies feel full and mom's not hurting them.
