HELP!!!Does she have an infected crop maybe???!!!

The crop is the most likely place to start. But if that soft egg is hers, that's going to need looking at, also.

The way to verify a crop disorder is to withhold food and water until you check her crop in the morning. If it's full, then you need to figure out what disorder it is. This will help. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

The soft egg, if it's hers, may be related to the crop disorder. Often, a shell-less egg isn't the only egg. Two eggs coming down the oviduct in the same 25 hour cycle almost always causes trouble because there isn't normally enough calcium for two eggs in the shell gland. The soft egg you saw may have caused a second egg to get stuck behind it. This can cause the crop to back up since the egg may be blocking things from moving down and out. This is just a guess. The two may not be related.

To be safe, I suggest giving this hen a calcium tablet tonight before you go to bed. Tums would be fine if that's all you have. But pop it into her beak right now. It will stimulate contractions and maybe by morning you'll see an egg under the perch and her crop will be back to normal, as well.
I dont have that with me now is she going to be fine if I give it to her tomrrow if possible. What if she diesnt need it and I give it to her still will she be fine? Sorry I'm a worried momma I hate when things like this happen

How does her crop feel? Any unusual behavior? Any wounds?
No wounds and I didnt feel her crop but I did feel something on ones neck like a bump but it could have been feathers. I have 2 plymiuths so when u wasnt looking they moved and I didnt feel this ones neck to make sure. Tomrrow morning I'm feeling her neck

I would agree that she is adjusting her crop in the video. They can do that normally, but doing it over and over can be a sign of impacted crop. Feel of her crop before daylight before she eats or drinks. It should be empty, but if it is full and hard or doughy, I would treat for an impacted crop. That would be giving lots of water, no whole grains, and some scrambled egg and yogurt. @azygous has a hood thread about crop problems.

The shell-less should be matched to the hen that laid it. Make sure that you are feeding layer feed or an all flock feed, but have crushed oyster shell always available for taking. If you know who laid it, give her Tums or calcium 1/2 tablet for a few days.

Because I dont think shell be able to eat those things for herself, her sisters are spoiled and dont like to share.
Thank you tomrrow morning I am going to be waking up before she can and checking her crop. And I dont know who laid it but they do have oyster shell for them 24/7 in a bowl. I feed them all flock because have a rooster and he cant have layer feed. If she does have an impacted crop should I bring her inside and treat her there? It's just a calcium tablet, not an antibiotic. It does no harm giving it to any hen as it's something she can use in any event. Long term use is not advised, though, as concentrated calcium over months in length can be hard on the kidneys.

Bringing her inside and installing her in a crate is your call, mainly to make it more convenient to treat her. When I treat a hen for a crop issue, I leave her with the flock. But if I need to treat for a stuck egg, that is much more involved and critical so I bring her inside and treat her in a crate as close observation is an important part of it.

Okay thank you. Tomrrow morning I will wake up before her check her crop and update you all. I'm really hoping there will be a soft egg under the roost.🤞I wont be able to give her anything without the other flock wanting to know what it is. Plus a crate is more easily to manage and give her stuff than her running around from me. I'll make her a little nesting area in case she needs to lay an egg

The calcium is for people. You will be using it for your chicken. You buy it at Walmart or Walgreens in the vitamin aisle. Look for calcium citrate with D3. You will pop the big pill right into her beak and it will disappear like magic.

Just pop it into her mouth or can I dissolve it in water. Shes the type of hen that you really have to hold so she doesnt flap her wings so I doubt she is gonna let me put something in her mouth

Is this okay?
