help! dog problem

I just read up some on the stray dog problem in pakistan.
One article told of a small child killed by a pack of stray dogs there. It is a huge problem that is very contrivertial as killing and poisoing the dogs has had little effect and created an uproar.
The only way you will be able to keep livestock and pets there is to build there inclosure strong enough to repel and stand up to these ferel dogs. Since this is not the first time you know what you have as far as a enclosure is not sufficient.
I would be nervious to leave my house.
Are you allowed to have a personal fire arm there?
I am sorry for your losses, and please be safe.

I would have shot these dogs already (and I love dogs - own three of them). They are obviously aggressive and they've charged you, so you know which ones it is and won't accidentally be shooting someone else's dog. But if a dog killed one of my cats I would hunt it down. If my own dog killed my cat I'm not sure I could keep it. Hard enough to lose a chicken to dogs but at least it's understandable because chickens are delicate prey animals. A dog that will kill a cat is vicious and shouldn't be kept IMO. A dog that will break into enclosures to kill animals is a predator, not a pet.

Personally I don't believe in people keeping dogs without fenced property. If it is aggressive and it comes on my property it is fair game regardless of species, up to and including aggressive people.
