Help! Dosage for chickens for Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride Soluble Powder 50%/100g

Okay, so I can see the top of the bag say 50 g / 100 g, so it probably is 50%
When you could buy oxytetracycline and tetracycline OTC the per gallon dose was 800 mg.

50% oxytetracycline powder means 1 gram of powder = 500 mg oxytetracycline and 500 mg fluff.

One teaspoon of most poultry powders will weigh 2.5 grams to 3.3 grams.
2.5 x 500 = 1250 mg per teaspoon - 800 mg = 0.64 teaspoons per gallon
3.3 x 500 = 1650 mg per teaspoon - 800 mg = 0.48 teaspoons per gallon

Please, double check my math!
That is close to what I was estimating. I found out about a vet a few counties over that deals with poultry but he's not a poulty/livestock vet. The DoA called me back to give me the number. Thank you very much for the help.

I just ordered it, will arrive in a few days. I contacted that vet, I was told that the 1/2 tsp per gallon was correct and it was advisable to dose entire flock but to keep known sick ones in separate pen and give them a double dose on day 1 followed by 4 regular doses. And to do a seven day egg withdrawal. My sick hens stopped laying and pullets haven't started. I may even do an egg withdrawal for 10 days to be safer, I'm highly allergic to sulfa drugs. Thanks again!
