Tonight is when I would think about making a safety hole.
Hopefully he pips before then so you don't have to worry about it.

You can go practice making a hole on a raw egg for now though.
Think tack, push pin, corn on the cob holder (that's what worked best for me), screw, nail....

Perfect but you will only need one and not yet. Still waiting time.

You will have to make the hole through the membrane too.
