I actually have a wet cloth in there in a bowl (2 reasons, to help keep humidity up AND because there is a post hanging down from the turner and I was afraid they would hurt themselves so the dish is under that) and they discovered that and seemed to get water that waycongrats on the hatchers!
No need to put water inside. They will be ok until the hatch is over or until you remove them. You also don’t need to drop the temp. You’re doing great as is!
They can’t get in and there really isn’t much water in the dish, just the wet cloth...and there are no strings, I made sure before I put it in there.That’s fine as long as they can’t fall in and drown. It looks safe from the pic.![]()
What kind of incubator do you use? I love that it has such awesome viewing areaUpdate: One hatched just a little bit ago....9 to go...
Question though, my temp is still at 99.5...should I lower that now that one is hatched?
