Yes. I always have fresh water near there food. I have to refill their water twice a day because they get it muddy! lolAre you offering water at all times that food is available? They have to have it to keep from choking. My duck will come running from across the yard with something big in her mouth, like a frog, to the water to eat it.
She's still alive and it's 1/2 way down..I'm just hoping she doesn't completely choke!!Is it still alaive or did it pass?
Yes i agree. Are you able to coxe it up/ down at all?Do you know what it is? Is she drinking? Might you give her just a little vegetable oil?
She is drinking and it's chick starter. I know that because I couldn't feed her yesterday because I ran out of chick starter so I went to buy some today and of course she went crazy! lol So I guess that's how it happened..Do you know what it is? Right. We know they need food 24/7 and this is one reason why. Wow. Keep an eye on her... she may have scratched the tissues inside her throat and they could be inflamed or become infected, worst case. She will probably be fine, but just be aware of that possibility, which would require oral antibiotics. Do you have some on hand? She is drinking and it's chick starter.
