give the legs a splint. has the duckling opened their eyes yet?Well it moves more now but it just kind of pushes itself around.... I think it may have wry neck AND splayed legs. Oh my, any suggestions? This is my first time with ducklings and I don't want to loose this one. I'm not sure how to feed it
Yes...can be hard to tell, common mistake. The scab from the belly button should be well far from the vent. Are you sure its covering the vent?
how did the splint not work to well? did the legs stay splayed, did the splint keep coming off?Yes the duckling has opened its eyes and can now lift its head. Which some help it can eat and drink but my concern right now is that it cannot walk due to the splayed legs. I tried making a cast from a bandaid like I read of Metzers website. But it didn't work too well so I removed it.... Anymore ideas?? Also that gunk on its vent has turned into a big scab. I'm worried how it will defecate if the scab is blocking the vent
