Help! Duckling keeps opening her mouth!

Irritation of some kind or infection Tell them to rinse her eyes with saline many recipes on line for eye wash with saline. And pick up Terramycin eye ointment to use in case of infection. And make sure none of their chicks are pecking her around the eyes.
Alright I’ll do that thank you!

It would also depend on their set up. Hopefully she has plenty of deep water to dip her face in. It looks like she's got a chicken friend as well. Will she be a house duck?
She’s got another duck as well - they had the duckling from 3 days old because it was going to be killed by the owner, and brought in a chicken since they couldn’t find another duckling the same age. At the moment she is a house duck with plenty of out door access although she prefers staying around humans (she is warming up to the others, now she sleeps next to them!) - what they’re trying to do is get her used to the chicken and their duckling’s company and understand that they’re her friends so they avoid going into the room they’re in at night, and then when the weather is warmer in a couple of weeks she would move on to a shed and aviary they’re building but she’ll only be there at night, during the day they’ll be at the front with people because the person I’ve given her to stays home all the time, so she’ll have plenty of company!

And yes she does have plenty of water to dip her head in

A chicken waterer is not sufficient for a duck to keep itself healthy, they can drink from one but not clean their eyes or nasal passages. At least once a day they should have access to a basin of some sort where they can submerge. How old is that duck? Any new pictures? I sure hope that last one was taken during a molt...

These work great for older ducklings

Main thing is that ducklings/ducks need to be able to dip their whole heads in water to keep their eyes and nares clean.

She has a large basin to wash out her nose and they’ve also added this large jar so she can fully dip her head in - the basin is perfect for their other duck but seemed a bit shallow for her to fully dip her eyes in

She’s 68 days old so 9 weeks and 5 days old? And they have a large tray they use for both the ducks and chickens. I’ll update you on a later picture of her - the one abode was sent today but of course you can’t see her eyes because it’s in water lol
