HELP! Duckling not growing!

He probably thought you were joking. lol poop pics are very important tell him they really do tell a story.

What are you feeding the ducklings?
I'm feeding 24% chick starter, brooding with keets. Switching to 21% chick starter today. Supplementing with chicken vitamins, some of the larger ducklings were having trouble standing in the first week or two before I started supplementing, they are doing well now. I give them some new grass and clover about once a week with dirt/sand on top for grit.

Hi there, I am really sorry about your duckling. To me, it looks like the belly is full of fluid, which could be from a heart problem (ascites), or some type of bacterial problem, like Omphalitis. Whatever it is, it is quite serious.

Can you take this duckling to a vet? If so, I suggest you get it seen ASAP.

Edited to add:
I think it is having trouble pooping because there is so much fluid in the belly that it is not allowing proper function of the intestines.

Thank you @casportpony. I don't think there are any avian vets in my area, I'm calling around now. In the mean time is there anything I can do to help him?

I don't think there is much you can do. :( If it seems okay doing the warm water soaks then I guess you could keep doing that.

When looking for an avian vet, Google "avian vet" or "exotic vet" and the name of the largest city near you.

Thank you everyone for your help. My husband and I have decided to euthanize the duckling.
