HELP DUCKLING NOT RIGHT

I probably wouldn't unless there were something obvious that you could see or it would most likely cause problems to just go poking around in there. I think although it mentions the mouth movement if there was an obstruction it would be further along the digestive tract to be able to find yourself anyway.

I'm not sure about the veggie oil as a substitution for the mineral oil I'm afraid, but I'm sure someone could advise. I'd give the electrolytes you have and give them a swim in warm water myself, while I was waiting for someone else to help - that way you aren't doing anything that will do any harm, and if it does some good then even better!

Thank you for responding and I agree I better let things alone. I missed who just left this last poop because they are so darn fast, but it was watery white and had a very foul odor. I’m wondering if I should try and see if she wants to eat or if that will make things worse?
It’s gonna be a long night

Hmm, that much clear liquid doesn't look particularly healthy to me :hmm

Rather than vegetable oil, do have any olive oil or maybe coconut oil?

Are you able to get the little one to the vet tomorrow?

Those poops look normal to me. It looks like they have had more water than food while it was digesting. And a white tint to the poop is absolutely normal. I believe it’s the nitrates or urine portion of the stool.

The video looks neurological to me. What sort of poultry vitamins do you have?

My 2 week old Buff duckling started acting strange all of a sudden. She started with constant head shaking. I thought maybe something was stuck. She only will take little sips of water. Her nostrils look clear and her ears seemed to be fine. My husband looked down her throat and didn’t see anything but he’s not sure what to look for. So now she is just unsettled and her mouth is constantly moving. Not really panting but more like she nibbling uncontrollably. She’s walking but lays down a lot.
My heart is breaking and I don’t know what’s going on. Im gonna go to Tractor Supply and get a B-complex with niacin as was suggested in an earlier post.
Yay or nay to this complex?
Could she have something in their?
Try the b complex first. It’s really good for them regardless to what’s going on with your little one. Plus niacin in the complex helps with the nervous system IF the issue stems from that.

I mix together one packet of
Sav-A-chick probiotics and a packet of their electrolytes.
I got my Kal Brewers yeast today and I’m picking up Liquid B complex.

@stuka123 how is your lil one this morning?
Thanks Miss Lydia, she seems to be fine today. I woke up this morning being excessively nibbled by both of my girls. She’s eating and drinking and finally stopped moving her mouth. I don’t know what it could’ve been but I really thought I was gonna lose her. Hopefully it was a once and done thing.
