Help!! Duckling Pipped Outside Air Cell

Right now my humidity is 75%...

I would say based on your last picture and what you told us he’s ok right now. Ducklings are slow to hatch. They take their time.

I agree with the others, should be ok. Plus since it skipped breathing the air cell air, it could take even longer. Just keep a watch that the feathers don’t start sticking to the inside.

Update: he seems to be zipping just fine right now. Thanks for all the help/advice!

Update: He is all hatched out and doing great so far...6 ducks total, 3 to go (2 pipped on small end). I am one tired new duck momma

Yay! Glad he made it out ok. They are nerve wrecking little buggers. The others should do ok as well they might take longer to zip because they didn’t break through to the air cell. Keep us updated, and don’t forget pictures!

The middle was the guy who pipped below the air sac.

I will update with more pics once more are out of the incubator. Seems like just one big duck pile in there
