Hmm...you guys definately convinced me...but my parents...ehh.
I'm only 13, my parents love my duck (Or so they say). But another one they think is too much. I'm pretty sure I could handle another duck though.
The bigger problem is I live in Orlando, FL. A city, I'm on the edge of town..not really were there's buildings and such, but you get the idea.
There aren't many ducks available here. Let alone matured ducks. There's only one feed store in my edge of town, they sell pekin ducklings.
Would that work...? I'd imagine I'd have to grow the duckling up for a few months before introducing it to Sunny, but then that arouses 2 more problems.
Risk of injury, and acceptence. Would it be too late by then? Let's say I buy another duckling today, and wait 3-4 months till it's big enough. Sunny by then
is pretty much mature, and believe she's a human. What if she doesn't accept the new duck? Then we have yet another problem. Getting rid of the second....or both?
You guys are right....I can't devote 24/7 to this duck. And releasing Sunny isn't an option. My parents don't know it's illegal, I'll have to tell them.
Would it be wrong to keep Sunny without a companion there with her at all times? I'm trying to be very mature about this situation, and at the same time deal
with my parents, not to mention all my other pets. Sunny, tops out as my favorite pet. But if it's best....I CAN TRY to find a home. Though that's unlikly here.
Sorry for going on and on, that's kind of the worst case scenario. What do you guys think?
