Help!!! Early bird

I have a suser early hatcher! I set turkey eggs 25 days ago and chicken eggs 19 days ago. I took everyone out of the egg turner this morning and I came home from work today to a fully hatched turkey. How long can I leave it in the bator before moving it to the brooder. I wasn't expecting chicks before Thursday or Friday and I don't have the brooder ready yet.

You can leave it for a day or so, funny how some show up early and others late

Is it a problem that it is 3-4 days early though? Or can that be a normal variation?

So now turkey #2 has hatched. They look great but there isn't any popping from the last turkey or any of the chickens. Will the turkeys bother the rest of the eggs by stumbling around and rolling over the other eggs? There's 24 chicken eggs in there.

I could really use some advice. This is (hopfully) my first successful hatch and I'm trying not to overdo it with helping, but I don't want to cause problems by not intervening.

That egg could have been subjected to a warm spot in your incubator causing it to grow at an excellerated rate. As long as it's healthy and active no worry.

Most people don't worry about hatchers disturbing the other eggs. I'm not a big fan of it though, and I move my hatchlings as they become active in the bator and place them in the brooder under the light. The chickens are only on day 19/20 right? There is plenty of time to see action from them.

There isn't much you can do to "intervene" that will help a chick before the chick has pipped and been pipped for a few hours. I don't interfer until they've been pipped for 18-24 hours. "Helping" too soon has a higher chance of hurting than helping.

Thanks for that. I'm just so unsure of myself as I've set aleggs to hatch 4 times and this is the first that is going the way it is supposed to...except for these early turkeys. I will get the brooder set up and get them out this evening. Thanks againAmyLynn
