I love my Nutmeg:love

Thank you! @Wyorp Rock ! You have no idea how hard this week has been for me and my chickens! All hell broke lose in the pecking order... Annabell has become a feather eater and vent picker, my heat lamps are freaking out, and very cold windy weather!....:hugs it means alot:hugs

Well, that poop looks great! Nutmeg looks quite comfy. I hope she's over the worst of this and is on the road to recovery.

My goodness! I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having a hard time:hugs
Now what is the matter with Annabell! Do you think it's boredom? Are you having to keep them "cooped up" because of the weather? Feather eating and vent picking can be hard to correct once that habit really sets in. With heat lamps, does that provide light 24/7? This may be part of the reason (speculation on my part) If they have light all night, then they are up and about, getting themselves into trouble.
Hopefully the weather will get better very soon and you won't have to use the lights for much longer.

It would be great if your allowed to keep her in for a couple days. Keep the vent moist. Triple antibiotic ointment is easy to find. Do you think you could get antibiotics? As mentioned it would be helpful. It’s great she’s eating and drinking and pooping! If you picked up a few things at the store tomorrow it’d be a good idea to start a chicken first aid kit that you can keep on hand for when little emergencies happen. You gained allot of experience tonight. I’m proud of the way you met the challenge and helped your little girl. Good job.
Keep us posted. :highfive:

Annabell has always been a bully... I have bliners coming on Thursday with her name on em! They have a pretty fair sized run, and every supplement you can imagine... Thanks for the encouragement! She is scratching in her pen! I think she is recovering well!!!!
